Her research covers, among others, the European Union’s Eastern enlargements, relations with Eastern Partnership states, democratization and administrative reform, coordination of EU policy making, the implementation of EU directives.

Her research interests are in the areas of sociological theory, social position of youth and women, and culture and identity in the context of modernization.
